ABOUT
Southern Cross Soloists’ (SXS) a national chamber music ensemble of high excellence, has successfully owned and operated the multi award-nominated Bangalow Chamber Music Festival (BCMF) for twenty years. In April 2024, the 21st edition of the BCMF was cancelled with the organisation deciding to bring the festival across the border and home to Queensland.
Southern Cross Soloists' chose to permanently relocate the Chamber Music Festival to the idyllic tourist destination of Tamborine Mountain, Queensland for its 21st coming-of-age edition in 2025. This allows SXS to align with Queensland’s cultural preparedness for the 2032 Brisbane Cultural Olympiad. The 21st edition will occur in 2025 with early development planning commenced. As an Arts Queensland funded organisation, SXS’s strategic future is to align with Arts Queensland’s Creative Together roadmap.
SXS was also proud to announce its partnership with Tamborine Mountain Arts Precinct (TMAP), a non-profit organisation formed in 2023 to establish a world-class arts precinct in the heart of Tamborine Mountain. This unique cultural partnership allows both not-for-profit organisations to join forces to further their mutual aims to generate jobs for Queensland artists and arts workers, local artisans, and the broader community.
A one-day, two-concert event has been planned in the picturesque Scenic Rim mountain township on Sunday August 18 2024.

SXS have brought music to 1000's of people across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. We have proudly produced the Bangalow Chamber Music Festival for 20 years, which was nominated twice by the APRA AMCOS Music Awards for
“Best Regional Event of the Year”.
